The third BUFF Financing Forum is concluded!
The Financing Forum 2009 was accomplished completely according to schedule in a friendly, intimate and welcoming atmosphere – which was also the impression, that several of the 91 accredited participants expressed.
Participants attended from 10 European countries plus Brazil and USA. Among the participants were the presence of Finnish Film Foundation, Swedish Film Institute and SVT, Danish Film Institute, Norvegian Film Institute and members from Cine-Regio.
About 45 projects was pitched 25 officially selected, plus observers projects plus projects brought on the side by the production companies. A variety and diversity in the selected projects ranged from animation to feature as well as TV-series, documentaries and New Media.
During the Forum 115 individual meetings between Financiers and Production Companies was held.
The Forum is also considered a networking space and the coffee breaks, lunches and dinners an important part of the event as given opportunities for networking and even pitching between producers.
Further project development took place as part of the individual meetings. The event has as well an educational side to it.
We have set off the planning for the 4th Forum BUFF:FF 2010. More interesting projects in development, special focus on Cross Media, strong financiers, upcoming co-operation with Pygmalion Plus, work-in-progress showing pitched projects from previous Forums and the co-operation with new network Kids-Regio, initiated during BUFF:FF 2008 will all together show an evolving BUFF:FF -profile.
Warm thank you to all participants – and especially to the pitching Production Companies, the Financiers, the Selection Committee, Cine-Regio and Linda Paxling for a great job, lots of inspiration and idea’s full of potential for the future.

The Second BUFF Financing Forum is concluded and we are happy to realise that BUFF:FF 2008 turned out to be a success!
The Financing Forum 2008 was accomplished completely according to schedule in a friendly, intimate and welcoming atmosphere – which was also the impression, that several of the 88 accredited participants expressed.
Participants attended from 14 European countries plus Canada and Brazil, and among the participants were the presence of Finnish Film Foundation, Swedish Film Institute, Danish Film Institute, Nordic Film and TV-Fund and members from Cine-Regio.
8 projects was pitched - A variety and diversity in the selected projects ranged from animation to feature and TV-series.
The Forum is also considered a networking space and the breaks /lunches/dinners an important part of the event as given opportunities for networking and “silent” pitching from present Observers.
During the Forum 47 individual meetings between Financiers and Production Companies was held. Further project development took place as part of the individual meetings. The event has therefore also an educational side to it.
We have already started to plan for the 3rd Forum BUFF:FF 2009 – March 12th-14th in Malmö: More interesting projects in development, strong financiers, upcoming co-operation with Pygmalion Plus, work-in-progress – pitched projects from previous Forums and the co-operation with new network Kids-Regio, initiated during BUFF:FF 2008 will all together show an evolving BUFF:FF -profile.

Dear Friends,
The first BUFF Financing Forum is concluded. We are happy to realise that BUFF:FF 2007 turned out to be a success – and we will with inspiration and high spirit start to plan for the next Forum BUFF:FF 2008 – March 13th-15th in Malmö.
The Financing Forum was accomplished completely according to schedule in a friendly , intimate and welcoming atmosphere – as it was expressed by several of the 89 participants.
Observers attended from 10 countries where among the presence of Finnish Film Foundation, Swedish Film Institute, Danish Film Institute and PYGMALION PLUS
10 projects was pitched - A variety and diversity in the selected projects ranged from animation to feature and drama docs .
All pitched projects was considered in such a state of development, that they are expected to reach release.
The Forum is also considered a networking space and the breaks /lunches an important part of the event as given opportunities for networking and “silent” pitching from present Observers.
On the Forums second day, 48 individual meetings between financiers and Production Companies was held. Further project development took place as part of the individual meetings
The event has therefore also an educational side to it.
